VOL. 5, NO. 6: THE OPERATION (OUT OF OUR) MINDCRIME EDITION
WELCOME back as the countdown continues towards the 24th Weekend!! I must say things are shaping up nicely. J Many thanks to those on the Planning Team!!

Please contact our Reservations Committee of Tara McCullough or Chris Schlomann if you are coming. It is imperative that we have a nose count. We will announce the full itinerary shortly, but here is how it shapes up at the moment:
1.) Friday Night:
A.) Folks gather for an Empirical Meet and Greet.
B.) OTHER surprises……. ;)

2.) Saturday:
The concert with four (4) live bands!! (This is not a joke.) The Bands Committee of Marctavius Scott-Henkel, Tara and myself have this tentative line-up set for the show.
A.) THE SONGS OF EDEN
B.) ODIN’S COURT

(These are two acts managed by our own Marctavius and signed to the Nuparadigm Label. Their sounds are very QR/DT/Rush reminiscent. They can be heard on the CWE Radio Station. Marctavius is hoping to take one or both to Europe in October for a festival show or two!! I have a sampler and they are AWESOME!!)

We will announce the venue and ticket costs shortly, but it will be a nominal amount. Be looking for T-Shirts, etc., as this is a full fledged show!!

We will have an All Access Laminate for the weekend, as designed by our resident Graphic Artist, Carla Park, whose laminate is being used. Carla did The Ryche Fish, which she did for the Fish Campaign in Richmond a few years ago.) We will feature the laminate later, but it, like the limited edition CWE 5th Anniversary Newsletter, will be a CWE Collectible!!

Brenda Pollereisz and I are heading up the raffle and giveaways. Brenda and I have gathered some cool items together to make any collector smile.

3.) Sunday:
Assuming you last that long, plans tentatively call for a family jaunt to King’s Dominion for a day of chilling and winding down before folks head back to get ready to face the work week. Tara is heading this up and is arranging a group rate.

So, there you have it!! A full weekend of Merry Mayhem. We hope you will join us. We need to know if you are coming to join us. PLEASE let us know by the end of the month, so we can get a nose count. We have members of other empires coming and we want to be sure we know which venue to reserve for our concert!!
