The Central Virginia Food Bank in cooperation
and coordination with VH-1 CLASSICS’ national touring artists ,
Queensryche , are holding a Food Drive on Saturday , July 24th in Richmond
, VA
THE location will be Bogart’s Restaurant in the Fan Area on the
corner of Broad Street and Lombardy at 203 N. Lombardy Street . The
time will be from 11:00 AM to 3:00 P.M. .The telephone number is 804-353-9280.
THE event is being spearheaded by Queensryche’s local fan club,
The Commonwealth Empire , along with other nationwide chapters of the
fan club network , as a weekend celebrating the band’s twenty (20)
years of performing.
THE band is out of the Seattle , Washington area and currently on the
Sanctuary Records label. Their releases have achieved both Gold and
Platinum Award status worldwide and led to VH-1 Classics sponsoring
their current world tour in support of the latest studio release, TRIBE
, as well as their live release , THE ART OF LIVE . The band is currently
wrapping up the European Leg of their tour , which will resume in the
U.S. this Fall.
THE Food Bank is requesting that your canned goods be brought to Bogart’s
for pick up by their staff. Bogart’s is opening early for the occasion
and give gift certificates to those contributing more than 5 items ,
which are redeemable for reduced entree costs.
THERE will be a concert later that evening with several bands showcasing
their music , as well as various selections of Queensryche’s music.
